Take a minute to imagine this. You have always had a head full of hair and you spend a large amount of money on hair products ranging from shampoos to conditioners to gels etc. Suddenly one day you realize that after you applied the hair gel a few hair (10 – 15) got stuck to your hand. You just shrug it off and don’t think about it again. After a couple of months, you start seeing just a bit of skin through your thick and dense hair. You get a bit concerned; you go on the internet and read through hair loss blogs and forums. You suddenly tell yourself, ‘These people are bald or going bald, I won’t go bald’. You just switch your computer and go to bed. After a few months, a guy at work asks you ‘Are you under some kind of stress? Your hair seems to be thinning’. At this point you go into a bit of serious panic mode and start searching for treatments. You do a lot of research and find out all about stress hair loss, male pattern hair loss, alopecia areata and so and so forth. You order some of these
hair loss treatments, but nothing works. You order a Chinese hair re-growth treatment, but that doesn’t work either. You visit hair transplant specialists and they tell you that they can help put some hair on top of your head but your hair will never be the same. At this point, just the thought of you not having your beautiful hair anymore scares you to death. You go through a denial stage, then anger, then complete breakdown and if you are lucky enough – ACCEPTANCE. There are some people who never get to the last stage and start experiencing some serious confidence issues.
So now, how can you cope with this entire hair loss life cycle? There are some people who will tell you to shave it all off completely. Some will tell you not to do anything, and maybe it will stop and the worst of all is when people start coming up to you telling you that they used to lose hair as well but they used this product or that product and it stopped. You don’t need all of that. You don’t need false and baseless hope or people telling you to FORGET ABOUT IT. Here are a few things that can help you.
- Don’t listen to ever Tom, Dick and Harry telling you about hair loss treatments that benefited them.
- Do as much research as you can to determine the type of hair loss you are experiencing because each has a different treatment.
- Remember, stress hair loss is sudden, in large amounts and only happens when you are under stress 24/7. The hair usually comes back.
- There are
medication treatments out there but they have side effects.
- If you are experiencing male pattern baldness, every solution will be indefinite. You will lose the hair once you stop the treatment.
- Hair transplant is the only permanent solution, but there are a lot of things that need to be considered including the doctors, prices, expertise etc.
These are a few tips that may help you cope with your hair loss. Remember, it is not the hair that makes you awesome, it is YOU. Just take a look at
these guys.
